BGB seizes 2.8-kg gold

Border Guard Bangladesh personnel, in drive, seized a total of 32 pieces of gold bars weighing 2.8 kilograms worth Tk 1,23,20,000 from Durgapur frontier under Benapole port police station at around 10am on Wednesday.
Chasing a smuggler the BGB men led by Nayeb Subedar Abdul Maleq recovered the gold bars as soon as the flyaway smugglers left the spot leaving the gold bars, said Lieutenant Colonel Selim Reza, commanding officer, 49 Border Guard Battalion.
