Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) confiscated huge smuggling and narcotics goods, including Yaba tablets, foreign and local liquor, beer, cannabis, heroin, gold, clothes, automobile, wood and arms last month worth 81.91 crore.
A press release signed by Public Relation Officer Md Shariful Islam disclosed it.
In the press release, BGB mentioned that they forfeited 4, 41,420 pieces of
yaba tablets, 8,108 bottles foreign liquor; 278 litters local liquor; 483 kan beer; 36,403 bottles of phensedyl; 571 kg cannabis; 907 gram heroin; 89,899 aneggra/ seneggra tablet; 969 pieces drug injection; 5.2 kg gold; 11,152 pieces imitation ornaments; 1,09,317 pieces cosmetics; 1,257 pieces sharee; 275 three pieces/ shirt pieces; 8,336 meter raw clothes; 1,325 pieces readymade cloths; 6 pieces touchstone; 22 truks; three pick up; two private car; 11 CNG auto-rickshaw; 40 motorcycle; 23,420 cubic meter and 1, 726 long meter wood and 1,699 kg tea leaf.
BGB also seized firearms. They forfeited 2-air pistol; one LG;six rounds bullets; and 950 gram gun power.
Besides, BGB arrested 265 men suspecting their involvement in smuggling, 363 for intrusion, seven Indian and four Nigerian men for crossing the border.
