BGB seized 60 Pics Gold bar in Jashore

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members seized 60 Pics of gold bars from the Shahajatpur border in Chaugachha upazila of Jashore district on Saturday when those were being smuggled to India.
BGB patrol team seized the gold bars in an abandoned condition .
49 BGB Battalion Commanding Officer Lt. Colonel Selim Reza confirmed the gold smuggling. He said that a special patrol team of the BGB conducted the operation on the basis of information that a large consignment of gold would be smuggled to India through the Chougachha border. BGB raided the area and seized the gold bars in an abandoned condition.
The value of the gold bars would be taka 4 crore 96 lakh. The recovered gold bars have been deposited in the treasury branch of Jashore Customs, said Lt. Colonel Md. Selim Reza.
