BGB raises manpower to contain Covid-19 2 held with drugs at Benapole frontier

Border Guard Bangladesh has raised its manpower along Jashore frontier to check illegal trespassing vowing to contain the spread of Covid- 19.
Lieutenant Colonel Selim Reza, commanding officer, 49 Border Guard Battalion told Newsmen the BGB has taken steps to check illegal trespassing so that no one can carry the Indian variant of coronavirus.
He also told that the BGB personnel led by Subedar Ashraf Ali detained two youths- Anisur Rahman, 27, of Mollahbari Road in Gazipur district headquarters and Yusuf Ali, 36, of Dukuria village under Belkuchi police station in Sirajgonj district- from Benapole passengers’ terminal in the afternoon of June 24 before going to India.
‘The BGB men seized a total 100 pieces of Yaba pills searching the body of Anisur Rahman, who is a suspected human trafficker,’ the BGB CO added, `Yusuf was being taken to India to sell his body parts alluring him to provide with better job.’
