Mostab Ali Mostan, 35 of Sadipur under Benapole Port police station was arrested along with Tk 30,47,000, one bottle of foreign wine and three bottles of Phensedyl by Border Guard Bangladesh men raiding Sadipur frontier under Benapole port police station at around 7pm on Thursday.
Lieutenant Colonel Ariful Hoque, commanding officer, 48 Border Guard Battalion, told that tipped off the BGB personnel led by Nayek Md Shah Alam, in-charge, Benapole camp, detained the youth along with the money and drugs as soon as he entered into Bangladesh without valid documents. ‘The money was laundered by the youth,’ he added.
The youth and the money and drugs were handed over to Benapole station police after filing a case.
