BGB man, 2 others killed in lightnings

At least three persons, including a BGB member, were killed and several others seriously injured when lightning struck them in three separate districts of the country on Saturday.
In Nilphamari, a member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was killed and another injured in a thunderbolt while on duty at Paschim Chatnai Dangapara on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Kamrul Islam, 51, son of one Abdus Sattar, an inhabitant of Char Pahari village in Sirajganj district.
The incident occurred around 11 pm.

Colonel Mostafizur Rahman confirmed the matter to the media.
In Munshiganj, a man was killed and two others were injured when lightning struck them in Sadar upazila of the district on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Joynal Pradhan, 45, son of one Noyon Ali Pradhan, resident of Fultola village in the upazila.
Local people said thunderbolt hit Joynal around 10.00am leaving him dead on the spot.
In Noakhali, a farmer named Motaleb Hossain, 41, was killed by thunderbolt in Subarnachar upazila of the district on Saturday.
Char Jabbar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shahed Uddin confirmed the news to the media.
