Border Guard Bangladesh personnel, in a raid, detained a youth and seized US$120,000 from Dhanyaknola frontier under Benapole port police station at around 10am on Saturday.
The arrested is Jasim Uddin,29, of Bahadurpur village under Benapole port police station, said Lieutenant Colonel Selim Reza, commanding officer,49 Border Guard Battalion.
He told that tipped off the BGB men led by Habilder Kabir Hossain made the arrest and recovery of $ US$120,000, worth Tk 1,01,60,400.
The BGB oficial termed the dollar as laundered money.
The arrested and the dollar were handed over to Benapole port station police after filing a case in this connection.
