Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) emerged men’s section champions in the Independence Day Taekwondo Championship beating Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation in the final held on Friday at National Sports Council gymnasium here.
On the other hand, Eden Women’s College emerged champions in the senior women’s section defeating Comilla District Sports Association in the day’s another final also held at the same venue.
Science and Technology Minister Yafesh Osman was the chief guest on the closing day of the programme and distributed the prizes.
Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation (BTF) president Kazi Morshed Hossain Kamal, BTF vice president Wahiduzzaman Mujumder and BTF general secretary Mahmudul Islam Rana were present, among others, on the occasion.
