Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained 8 women , men including a child while they were illegally returning Bangladesh from India without valid documents through Sokri Bottoa area on on Tuesday afternoon.
Lieutenant Colonel Ariful Haque, Commanding Officer of BGB-49 Battalion said acting on secret information, a team of BGB-49 conducted a drive in the area and detained 2 women 5 men and 1 child.
Later, BGB were handed over them to Benapole Port Police Station.
A case was filed in this connection.
