Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) men on Wednesday night picked up eight Bangladeshi women from Putkhali frontier under Benapole port police station.
Tipped off, the BGB men of 23 Border Guard Battalion made the arrest of the eight women at around 8pm on Wednesday, said Matiur Rahman, sub inspector, Benapole port police station.
Border Sources said the eight went to India for better earnings with the help middlemen separately. The BGB men arrested them after entering into Bangladesh territory.
They were being taken to a Jessore court on Thursday after filing a case with Benapole port police station.
