Friendship Handball: BGB beat West Bengal of India in opener

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) beat West Bengal team of India by 33-30 goals in the opening match of the Men’s Division of the Friendship Handball at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium.
BGB trailed the first half 14-15.
Sudhon Barua of BGB scored ten goals and his teammate Sagor Mia netted eight goals and their colleague Mir Khairuzzaman scored seven goals.
Darshan Bura of West Bengal netted 15 goals.
Earlier, State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder, MP inaugurated the Friendship Handball match as the chief guest. Team Leader of West Bengal (Men’s) team Soumitra Das, General Secretary of Bangladesh Handball Federation Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, Member Secretary of the Organising Committee Md Nurul Islam were present at the time.

West Bengal (Men’s) team vs Bangladesh Police (2.30 pm),
West Bengal (Women’s) team vs BJMC (4.30 pm).
