BFUNPW, BNEF demand formation of 9th wage board

Bangladesh Federal Union of Newspaper Press Workers (BFUNPW) and Bangladesh Newspaper Employees Federation (BNEF) on Sunday demanded to form the 9th wage board immediately.
The leaders of these oreganisations also demanded to form the welfare trust for the press labourers and employees, to stop the termination of the press labourers, to restore the Newspaper Act-1974, to allot the permanent land for the press labourers, to give right to form trade union at all newspapers, to cancel the facilities of the 8th wage board where it is yet to implement and to pay the due of the sacked journalists and employees.
The leaders of BFUNPW and BNEF came up with these demands after a meeting at the office of the Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha on Sunday.
BFUNPW President Alamgir Hossain Khan presided over the meeting while BNEF President Motiur Rahman Talukder (Jalil) moderated it.
BFUNPW Secretary General Kamal Uddin, BNEF Secretary General Md Khairul Islam, Bangladesh Newspaers Binding Dispatch Okiya Parished President Abul Kalam Azad, Bangladesh Newspapers Computer Association President Md Moniruzzaman spoke the meeting, among others.
