An extended meeting of a faction of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) was held at the Jatiya Press Club on Tuesday with its President Golam Mohiuddin Khan in the chair calling for formation of the ninth wage board for the journalists.
Former General Secretary of the Jatiya Press Club Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, journalist leaders SM Zahurul Alam, Mokarram Hossain, Abu Saleh, Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury, Saidul Hosain Shahed, Mofizur Rahman, Dewan Habib, Abdul Baset Mia, among others, spoke.
They underscored the need for maintaining professional journalistic excellence imbued with the spirit of liberation war.
