BFUJ, DUJ condole death of Shaban’s mother

President of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul, Secretary General Omar Faruque and Vice-President of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) Atiqur Rahman Chowdhury and General Secretary Sohel Haider Chowdhury on Monday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Begum Mamtaz Jahan, mother of DUJ President Shaban Mahmud.
Mamtaz Jahan, 74, who left behind six sons and four daughters, died of prolonged illness at 10.45 pm on Sunday night in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Mediacal University. Her husband late Abdus Salam Biswas was a popular Headmaster of Gohala High School under Mokshedpur Upazila in Gopalganj district.
Her Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Chandradighalia village mosque under Gopalganj Sadar upazila after Zohr prayers on Monday and buried at family graveyard there.
In a condolence message, BFUJ and DUJ leaders conveyed deep sympathy to the members of the bereaved family and prayed for peace of the departed soul.
