BFIU seeks bank info of 35 individuals including journos Kanak Sarwar, Ilias Hossain

Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has sought bank account details of at least 35 people, including journalists Konak Sarwar and Ilias Hossain, who were allegedly involved in anti-government campaign on Facebook and YouTube channels.
BFIU, the anti-money-laundering arm of Bangladesh Bank, in a letter to all scheduled banks in the country asked to submit their account details by the next seven days.
Abu Hena Mohammad Razi Hasan, head of the BFIU, confirmed the matter to The New Nation yesterday.
In the letter, banks have been asked to provide bank accounts of journalists Kanak Sarwar, Ilias Hossain, Mahmudur Rahman, Shipon Kumar Bose, Major (Retd) Delwar, Sheikh Mohiuddin Ahmed, activist Pinaki Bhattacharya, Dr. Tuhin Malik, Mir Jahan, Saniur Rahman, Rabindra Ghosh, Gabinda Chandra Pramanik, AKM Wahiduzzaman,

 Asaduzzaman Noor, Blogger Asif Mohiuddin and Golden Monir.
BFIU also sought account information of 16 more individuals and an organization in four separate letters.
They are: Selina Khatun, Sushmita Sahana Zaman, Jinnat Rahman, Nazia Rahman, Md. Saidur Rahman, Rabiul Islam, Md. Parvez Rana, Mir. Kaiser Hossain, Md. Abdul Barik Sarkar, Begum Anar Kali, Begum Samshunnahar, Md. Sohanur Rahman, Setara Parveen, Recto Limited, Ferdousi Begum, Md. Al Amin, Sharmin Akter, Md. Ishaq and Suruj Mia.
