BFF to serve show-cause notices on 7 national players

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has decided to serve show-cause notices on seven national players, including the captain, for breaching discipline in and outside the ground.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Team Committee held in the BFF Board Room on Monday with BFF vice president and committee chairman Kazi Nabil Ahmed, MP in the chair.
Seven national booters — captain Mamunul Islam Mamun, M Zahid Hossain, Sohel Rana, Shahidul Alam Sohel, Yeamin Ahmed Chowdhury Munna, Yeasin Khan and Atiqur Rahman Meshu – will be asked to appear in person before the committee at the BFF office in a specific time to defend themselves.
The committee took the decision following the recommendations of the BFF Fact Finding Committee which was formed to investigate the failure of Bangladesh Football team in the SAFF Championships and Bangabandhu Gold Cup Football.
Ajmol Hossain Topan, Sheikh Mohammad Aslam and Elias Hossain were the members of the BFF Fact Finding Committee.
The national team committee also formed a three-member sub-committee with BFF Vice Presidents Tabit Awal, Badal Roy and Anwarul Haque Helal.
The committee also decided that national football team will play a FIFA International Friendly against the UAE national football team in Abu Dhabi on March 18 before playing the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Jordan on March 24.
BFF Vice President Badal Roy was named team leader, Satyajit Das Rupu as team manager, Gonzalo Sanchez Moreno as head coach, Syed Golam Zillani as assistant coach and Atiqur Rahman Atiq as the goal keeping coach of the Bangladesh Football team for the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
