The Phase-3 master plan of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) aims to make the game accessible to everyone and develop the game by executing tangible targets with plans and vision for the future of the development of Football in Bangladesh.
The development of the game both short and long term revolve around the eight strategic Football pillars — Referee Development, Medical and Sports Science, Professional Clubs and Leagues, Elite Player Development, Women’s Football, Grassroots, Coach Education and Development and Competitions as disclosed in its BFF’s websites on Sunday.
All of the pillars are equally important, they are connected and linked so the development of the game relies on all of the strategic pillars moving forward in a systematic and progressive way.
The eight Football strategic pillars aligns and falls under the philosophy and technical direction of FIFA, UEFA and AFC in the core areas – with an emphasis on engaging and enriching the next generation of teachers, players, coaches and everyone involved in the game.
The Federation’s budget and organizational structure has been aligned towards the development of the game in all levels. The plan will allow a consistent structure of regional grassroots youth coaches and support throughout the Division, Districts and Sub Districts in Bangladesh.
The Federation aims to find and recruit the gifted, talented and elite players across age groups from U 12-U 19 both male and female, support the next generation of coaches throughout the Districts, Sub Districts and Divisions, help sustain the clubs structures and provide club development resources.
BFF will continue to work closely with the professional clubs, in terms of elite player and coach development and provide support across all technical areas as well as their administrative structures.
A referee development plan has been undertaken that aligns the creation of a comprehensive support and education plan for all referees.
The Federation will be structured to allow professional service to the game in all areas and the financials will be aligned long term to allow continuity and sustainability.
Under a new well-structured development plan, all aspects of the game will see improvement, which would result in a collective success focused on the future and form a better understanding of the game at all levels.
