Sports Reporter :
Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) declared the date of the election of the Executive Committee of BFF on 3rd October. BFF already got the green signal from AFC regarding the election of the Executive Committee of BFF.
The voting delegates are from the participating clubs of the Bangladesh Premier League, Bangladesh Championship League, First Division Football League, Second Division Football League, Third Division Football League, Pioneer Football League, district associations, divisional associations, education boards, universities, women’s sports association, referees’ association and coaches’ association.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Football Federation Md Abu Nayeem Shohag said, ” In every election, usually some complains will be raised by the opposition. The opposition will submit their objection to the election commission. Those, who are complaining against the selection of delegates, they are engaged in mud slinging and telling lies. We have selected the delegates after maintaining the rules and regulation.”
A total of 11 issues were discussed regarding the delegate selection at the meeting of BFF Executive Committee recently.
For example, Shakil Mahmud Chowdhury, delegate of Mohakhali Ekadosh is basically the Team Leader of Chitagong Abahani Ltd and he never represented his club Mohakhali Ekadosh in any meeting of Dhaka Metropolitan Football League Committee or never seen in any match of his current club. Same kind of objection was raised against Siraj Uddin Muhammad Alamgir of Kadamtala Sangsad, Mohammad Sazzad Hossain of Purbachal Parishad, TM Mamun Kaiser of East End Club, Munjer Rahman of Bassabo Tarun Sangha.
Also another issue was raised against Hasanuzzaman Khan of Tangail Football Academy. According to the letter sent by Tangail Football Academy to BFF, he is the Football Secretary of the club. But in 2019-20 season of the Dhaka Mohanagar 3rd Division Football League, it was mentioned that Arif Akand is the Football Secretary of that club. So, Hasanuzzaman Khan is not established as a Football Secretary of Tangail Football Academy.
Mohidur Rahman Miraj became the delegate for Wari Club but earlier he was banned for one year by AFC for mach-fixing allegation and as advised by AFC to it’s member association not to maintain any relation with a person who is involved or convicted of match-fixing.
The Executive Committee also approved the 2nd delegation form sent earlier by BFF to Zahangir Alam Babul, President of Muslim Institute in response to his latter sent to the BFF and also declared the early delegate form invalid.
Meanwhile, Nawabpur Krira Chakra send two committee names to BFF and both the committee demanded their legitimacy. In view of this and after detail inquiry, the Dhaka Metropolitan Football League Committee, as per the request of BFF sent the delegate form to the legitimate committee and informed BFF name of the appropriate committee accordingly and it was approved.
Also Abdur Rahim got his approval as the delegate on behalf of the Dhaka District Football Association at the meeting as because he will not be a candidate for any post of the upcoming BFF election.
As Badda Jagarani Club did not have any elected legitimate committee at present (an ad-hoc committee exists.), the name of the delegate was sent Abu Hossain Chowdhury Prince and because of that the validity issue of his delegationship was raised on the BFF Executive Committee meeting.
