Beximco group is going to convert the 350-Acre Beximco Industrial Park to solar power as part of its green initiatives.
Beximco Ltd and China Energy Engineering Group Northwest Power Construction Engineering Corporation (CEDC) on Thursday has signed an agreement to establish a 20MW solar PV project.
Syed Naved Husain, Group Director and Chief Executive Officer of Beximco Ltd and Fu Hongwei President of CEDC signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Under the agreement CEDC will provide the engineering, supply, construction commissioning, operation and maintenance.
Addressing the signing ceremony, Naved said, “This is not only a step forward towards our ‘Go Green’ initiative but it will also help us to minimize electricity cost.”
