New US Ambassador to Bangladesh Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat met Law Minister Anisul Huq at his Secretariat office on Thursday.
During the meeting, they discussed various bilateral issues, including US cooperation in Bangladesh’s law and justice sector, said a press release.
The law minister and the US envoy also talked about US cooperation in arranging training programmes for members of law enforcement agencies of Bangladesh to prevent crimes that are becoming more complex day by day with new types and dimensions.
Anisul expressed his sincere thanks to the US ambassador for the FBI assistance in the investigation into the killing of writer-blogger Avijit Roy.
