Prime Minister’s office rewarded BEPZA for achieving excellent success to accomplish the KPI targets of FY 2014-15.
Md Abul Kalam Azad, Principal Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office lauded all levels employees of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority. In this regard Md Abul Kalam Azad cordially handed over honoring certificate to Major General Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan, ndc, psc, Executive Chairman of BEPZA, on Tuesday at Prime Minister’s Office. Suraiya Begum, ndc, Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office was present in that time.
Prime Minister’s Office and Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding on KPI to evaluate the qualitative and quantitative activities of BEPZA for the FY 2014-15 in last year 30 June.
To ensure institutional accountability, transparency, proper use of public resources, uphold the organizational success in a quantitative way and improvement of the organizational efficiency in public sector as a tool of performance management government has taken initiative for the first time in the country to introduce performance agreement system in different ministry/department with their respective departments/agencies.
As part of this initiative, the vision, mission, objectives and activities of the organizations have been reviewed in detail and according to this the most important Key Performance Indicators (KPI) have been determined to achieve the objectives of the organization.
Among other chief of five organizations under the Prime Minister’s Office and Md Abdul Halim, Director General, GIU were present in the signing Ceremony.
However, to make Bangladesh a middle income country is one of the goals of the government by implementing Vision-2021. One of the pre-requisites of this goal is to establish good governance in every sphere of administration.
