Bengal Foundation’s two new solo albums

Bengal Foundation launched two new solo albums – Shimu Dey’s Tomai Aamai Miley and Avoya Dutta’s Alok Malar Sajey – recently held at Chhayanaut Auditorium in the capital’s Dhanmondi area.
Noted writer and journalist Anisul Haque and Pro Vice Chancellor of East West University Dr Fakhrul Alam unveiled cover of the albums.
Director General of Bengal Foundation Luva Nahid Chowdhury moderated the programme. After album launching ceremony both the singers Shimu and Avoya rendered duet and solo songs in the programme.
The programme started with rendition of the song Anandadhara bohichhey bhuboney in duet. Later Avoya rendered songs Ki sur bajey, Aamar moner koner bairey and Kotha hotey bajey prembedona re. Shimu Dey rendered the songs Ami tomai joto, Keno aamai pagol korey jash and Tobo premsudharoshey. Then Avoya again rendered three more numbers like Durdeshi sei rakhal chhele, Jokhon eshechhiley and hokarey and Bajao re mohon bashi. In this stage, Shimu dey rendered songs Ke boshiley aji and Majhey majhey tobo dekha pai.
At last, the programme was wrapped up with the rendition of duet song Dhoronir gogoner miloner chhondey.
Both the singers were accompanied by Himadri Shekhor and Sharmin Sathi Islam Moina in harmonium. The programme was opened for all.
