Deputy Chairman (Deputy Minister) of the State Committee on Science and Technology, Belarus Petr Baltrukovich on Thursday called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique at the latter’s office of the university.
Director (Europe) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Khorshed Alam Khastagir was also present on the occasion.
During the meeting, they focused various issues of mutual cooperation specially they emphasized on accelerating education and research programmes in the field of science and technology between Dhaka University and the Universities of Belarus.
The visiting Belarus Deputy Minister expressed keen interest to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and work together with Dhaka University.
They also discussed about students exchange programmes so that the students of both countries would be benefitted through knowledge and experience sharing.
DU VC Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique thanked the Belarus delegate for his
visit and eagerness on academic and research activities of the university.
He hoped that mutual collaborations between the two countries would be
useful to flourish the various knowledge domains of arts, social sciences,
business, science and technology in the university and Bangladesh as well.
