A beheaded male dead body was recovered from the Sugandha River near Jhalakathi launch ghat area on Wednesday noon. Shilmoni Chakma, Jhalakathi Sadar police station officer in charge, said local people seeing the body loosely tied in a sack in formed police at about 12:30 pm noon. Police recovered the male dead body beheaded and wearing a black full pant and a torn T-shirt at about 1:00 pm, the OC told. Majid Ali, Jhalakathi district police superintendent, visiting the spot said the recovered male dead body would be aged around 35-40 years and preserved at Jhalakathi morgue for autopsy and identification. Perhaps the victim was killed 2/3 days ago and after beheading packing in a sack tied with bricks thrown in to river, the police officials assumed.
