A beat policing meeting against drugs, terrorism extortion, violence against women, child marriage and rumors was held at Ishwardi’s Dashuria. The meeting was organized by Bit No. 6 on Friday morning at the auditorium of Dashuria MM High School in Ishwardi.
Ishwardi Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Firoz Kabir, was the chief guest at the meeting. He said the police were working with professionalism to bring the perpetrators to book in every case against drugs, terrorism, extortion, violence against women, child marriage and rumors to ensure the safety of the people. He sought the cooperation of all to bring the police service to the doorsteps of the people in the future as well.
Dashuria Union Parishad Chairman Nurul Islam Bakul Sardar presided over the meeting. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ishwardi Police Station Asaduzzaman Asad was the special guest. SI Nurul Huda of 8th Beat Officer, ASI Washim, Assistant Beat Officer, Shamsul Alam Badsha Malitha, president of Dashuria Gaffar Plaza Market Committee were present among others.
A significant number of women, public representatives, teachers, businessmen, members of ward Awami League, various employees of the union, imams of mosques and people from different walks of life participated in the gathering.
