Beat policing in south zone introduced by CMP

Chittagong Metropolitan Police has introduced beating policing system in south zone of CMP through installing 43 beats consists of 4 CMP thanas .these thanas include Kotwali, Bakalia, Chowkbazar and Sadarghat.
Deputy commissioner of Police (South) Kamrul Amin formally inaugurated the beat policing at Kotwali and Bakalia thana yesterday morning in presence other police officials of the respective thanas.
Sources said south zone divided into 43 beats viz. 15 in Kotwali, 11 in Bakalia and 7 each in Bakalia & Sadarghat thana. Every beat will be supervised by a Sub Inspector inclusive of 5 police members. Additional deputy commissioner, Asstt. Commissioner and Officer incharges will monitor the activities of the beat policing,s ources said.
Meanwhile supporters of local legislator of Banskahali led by AL chairman candidate of Barutan union and personal secretary of the local legislator Tajul Islam brought out processions in Banskhali poura sadar yesterday morning demanding removal of the EO Jahidul Islam from Banskhali, a local sources said.
Election Commission has directed district EO to file the allegations against the legislator, sources said. While contacted Police super of Chittagong AKM Hafiz Akhter told that they will record the allegations as soon received but till writing this report , no such case filed yet.
 Regional Election officer Md. Abdul Baten told that EC did not file suit as yet and waiting for written order from the EC in connection.
