Chunati Sanctuary beat officer has been allegedly beaten in Lohagara. BIT officer Md. Farid Uddin Talukder has lodged the complaint against Chunati Sanctuary Range Officer (Acting) Md. Manjurul Islam. Range officers called him to the office, beat him, and punched him in the face, knocking out a tooth. The victim said that he immediately informed the higher authorities about this.
According to eyewitnesses and victim sources, Chunati Sanctuary beat officer Md. Farid Uddin Talukder was beaten in front of the Chunti Sanctuary Officer’s office at noon on Saturday (May 7). On the morning of the incident, he was working with people in the garden in Chunati Muranghata Ghona area.
At that time range officer Manjurul Islam called him to his office. As soon as he arrived at the office, the range officer started abusing him on the pretext of being late. When he left the office after hearing the abuse, Manjurul Islam ran and started dragging him. At one stage, he started kicking, punching his neck and face. He fell to the ground and lost a tooth in front of him.
Chunati Sanctuary Officer Md. Manjurul Islam was contacted on his mobile phone and he cut the line saying that it was an internal matter of their department.
