Candidates at Beanibazar Municipality are passing their busiest moments in campaign in upcoming municipal election .
A total of six mayoral candidates will contest in the election . Besides, the mayoral candidates, councilor and reserved women candidates are also campaigning to ensure their respective wins. The election will be held on 25th April.
Among six mayoral candidates, present Municipality Mayor Tofazzul Hussain, AL Nominated candidate Abdus Shukur, BNP Nominated Candidate Abu Nasar Pintu, independent candidate Abul Kashem Pollob, Shomsher Alom, Md Jomir Hussain.
Md Jomir Hussain identified major problems of the municipality, which are: lack of transparency in taxonomy, water logging, deplorable communication, mosquito menace, and drainage problem. He hoped to solve the problems in shortest possible time, if elected. He, however, refused the allegation of his involvement in widespread drug-peddling across the town, rather, accused a particular gang involved behind the scene.
