The Walton Beach Throwball Tournament begins tomorrow at the Laboni Ponit in Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach.
Bangladesh Throwball Association will arrange the competition under auspices of Walton Group. Walton Group, the sponsor of the meet has given Tk two lakh to Bangladesh Throwball Association to run the tournament smoothly.
A total of five teams will take part in the Men’s Division while a number of three teams will participate in the Women’s Division. Bangladesh Police, Glorious Sporting Club of Dhaka, Dhaka Riders and Pabla Sabuj Sangha of Khulna will compete in the Men’s Division while Jatrabari Sporting Club, Khilgaon Samaj Kalyan Sangha and Pabla Sabuj Sangha of Khulna will take part in the Women’s Division.
To mark the ensuing two-day long throwball meet, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday.
President of Bangladesh Throwball Association and Senior Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, General Secretary of Bangladesh Throwball Association Shamim-Al-Mamun, Joint-Secretary of the Federation Md Shariful Islam and Member of the Federation Md Yousuf Ali Chowdhury were present at the conference.
The each participating teams will get Tk five thousand as participation money.
The champions and the runners-up will be awarded trophies.
