The 1st Walton Beach Taekwondo competition will start on Sunday (October 29) at Cox’s Bazar sea beach in Cox Bazar.
About 300 boys and girls from different associations, districts, and schools from across the country will take part in the two-day meet, sponsored by Walton Group and organised by Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation (BTF).
The competition will be held in both man’s and women’s junior section.
The men’s weight categories are U-58 kg, U-68 kg, U-78 kg and above 78 + kg while women’s weight categories are U-49 kg, U-57 kg, U-63 kg and 63+ kg.
In this regards, a press conference was held on Thursday at the conference room of National Sports Council to provide all the details of the meet.
Walton Group operative director head of games and sports FM Iqbal Bin Anwar, BTF general secretary Mahmudul Islam Rana and ATN Bangla senior reporter Parag Arman, were among others, present on the occasion.
BTF general secretary Mahmudul Islam Rana said for the first time they are going to organise the beach taekwondo.
