Bangladesh men’s kabaddi team earned victory and women’s kabaddi team conceded defeat in the 4th Asian Beach Games in the Thai tourists resort city of Phuket on Thursday.
Bangladesh men’s kabbadi team beat hosts Thailand by 54-33 points while Bangladesh women’s team suffered 29-55 points defeat against the home side.
In the beach handball, Bangladesh lost to Hong Kong by 0-2 sets (12-13,
8-16).
In the 60-meter beach athletics, lone Bangladeshi athlete Mesbah Ahmed finished 5th among eight competitors in the men’s event while another Bangladesh athlete Shirin Akhter finished bottom amomg six particpatnts in the women’s event.
