Hosts and favourites Bangladesh National Cricket teamled by Mashrafe Bin Mortaza will take on in-form Zimbabwe National Cricket team-led by Graeme Cremer in the first ODI of the Tri-Nation ODI Tournament at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur today. The match starts at 12.00 Noon. Private satellite channel GTV will telecast the match live from the arena.
Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said, “Any rivals of this tournament will not be easy to win over them. Specially Zimbabwe are good side. Recently they defeated Sri Lanka by 3-2 in ODI series in Sri Lanka. We want to win over Zimbabwe and also earn an easy win.”
He said, ” Toss may be a factor tomorrow. Fog will influence the wicket and also bowlers and batsmen. If, the weather is heavy foggy, we have to take proper choice. If we win in the coin-session, we shall decide to bat or bowl first according to the conditions.”
Graeme Cremer said, ” There is a combination of experienced and promising players in our team. A big part of our team had experience to play here. We have idea about the players of Bangladesh. We are prepared to face them.”
He said, “We are happy as Brendan Taylor will bat in the middle order. Kyle Jarvis will be useful for our bowling lineup. I hope we shall get a big innings from experienced Hamilton Masakadza.”
