Bangladeshi workers are in hardship in Kuwait on account of special visa procedures.
Sources said special visa procedures ‘Lamen’ are followed only in the case of Bangladeshi workers. As per the system, any private company of Kuwait wishing to employ Bangladeshi workers has to get ‘Lamana’ that means special approval from the authority.
Bangladeshi migrant workers in the country said the private companies considered the process as a obstacle in the way of recruiting manpower.
On the other hand, countries like India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Nepal and African ones have not such barriers in getting the visa or work permits in the country.
