Bangladesh Women’s team were eliminated from the 4th Rollball World Cup conceding a 3-6 defeat against Senegal in the knockout stage match at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium (SSIS) in Mirpur of the city on Monday.
In the group stage, Bangladesh Women’s team advanced to the last 16 collecting four points form two matches. They started their campaign with an 8-2 goal win against Nepal while got walkover against Philippine in the 2nd match.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Men’s team will face Chinese Taipei in the 16-team pre-quarterfinals stage at the SSIS on Tuesday.
In the other Men’s group pre-quarterfinals, defending champion India will face Benin while Bhutan meet Zambia, Argentina play Kenya, Uruguay meet Latvia, Nepal face Ivory Coast, Pakistan play Belarus and Denmark face Iran.
