BD women back home from India after yrs imprisonment

8 Bangladeshi women returned home through Benapole check post on Monday night after serving two years jail in India.
Indian police handed them over to Benapole immigration police at 10.30 pm.
The arrested were hailed from Norail and Khulna district.
Ahsan Habib, officer in-charge of Benapole check post immigration police, said a team of Indian police had arrested them from Mumbai city for going there illegally.
A gang of human traffickers took them to India through various border promising to arrange lucrative jobs, two and half year ago he said. They were sent to a Mumbai court which jailed them for two years.
Later, on completion of the jail term, they were kept at a NGO for Girls shelter home there.
The Indian authorities returned them following repeated requests by the Bangladesh home ministry.
A special Indian police team on monday brought them to Bangladesh, sources here said.
Benapole immigration police later handed them over to Benapole port police station. Later Benapole Port thana police handed them over to their respective family.
