T20I series: BD whitewash Zimbabwe

Bangladesh whitewashed Zimbabwe 2-0 in the two-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series crushing Zimbabwe by nine wickets in the second and final T20I cricket match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Wednesday.
Chasing Zimbabwe’s 119 for the loss of seven
 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, Bangladesh sailed home making 120 for the loss of one wicket when they had 25 balls to spare.
Bangladesh made a solid start as openers Liton Das and Mohammad Naim contributed together 77 runs in the opening stand before Mohammad Naim was caught at the deep mid-wicket by Tinashe Kamunbukamwe off Chris Mpofu.
Then Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar guided their team to reach the winning spot adding together 43 runs for the unbroken second wicket partnership.
Liton Das remained unbeaten with 60. His 45-ball innings had eight fours. It was Liton’s fourth T20I half-century.
Mohammad Naim hit 33 from 34 balls including five fours.
Soumya Sarkar remained unbeaten with 20. He hit two sixes in his 16-ball innings.
Mpofu got one wicket conceding 27 runs.
Earlier, opener Brendan Taylor and Craig Ervine were the two Zimbabwean batsmen who could get respectable scores.
Brendan Taylor remained unbeaten with 59. His 48-ball innings saw six fours and a sixer.
Ervine made 29 from 33 balls featuring three fours.
Al-Amin Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman bagged a pair of wickets each at the cost of 22 and 25 runs respectively.
Afif Hossain, Mehedi Hasan and Mohammad Saifuddin took one wicket each for two, 14 and 30 runs respectively.
