After posting a narrow seven-run win over the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the first Twenty20 International (T20I) match on Sunday last, motivated Bangladesh will take on UAE in the second T20I at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai today. The match will start at 8.00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite channel GTV will telecast the match live.
Afif Hossain of Bangladesh T20 Cricket team remained unbeaten with 77 runs. He hit three sixes and seven fours in his 55-ball terrific innings. He was adjudged the Man of the Match.
After the match, Afif Hossain said, ” I like to bat under pressure. I wanted to play in the last over of the innings and I did it. I feel good as I got success.”
It may be mentioned that Bangladesh T20 Cricket are playing without senior players.
Hossain said, ” A number of senior players are not taking part in this series. But we don’t feel any pressure. We shall try to play with our best XI. I hope I shall perform well in the next match.”
He said, ” From the very beginning the wicket was tough. Our top order failed to show satisfactory performance. Later, the wicket was better. Thus, Nurul Hasan Sohan and I batted well. My target is always keep the notable strike rate. Today I also did that. I played according to the game plan. I think it was a wise decision that we earned runs and hit boundaries in the last couple of overs to score a fighting total.”
