Bangladesh Under-16 National Women’s Team bounced back in their preparation camp for the eight-team prestigious final round of the AFC U16 Women’s Championship with a sparkling 4-1 win over Shaanxi U15 Women’s team at Xian city in Shanghai on Sunday.
In the day match, the Bengal girls took lead in the 8th minute with left winger Marzia’s strike, 1-0.
Right winger Razia missed a good opportunity to double the margin for Bangladesh in the 9th minute.
Skipper Krishna Rani Sarkar pounced on a beautiful pass off midfielder Tohura to give Bangladesh a two-goal cushion in the 32nd minute, 2-0.
Forward Sirat Jahan Shopna extended Bangladesh’s lead even further in the 44th minute utilizing a pass off Sanjida Akter, 3-0.
The Chinese side tried to fight back and reduced the lead with Lou Xiemei’s score in the 84th minute, 3-1.
Forward Sultana netted the ball utilising a pass off Monica in the 88th minute to extend the winning margin, 4-1.
Bangladesh will play CFA U14 national team on Monday. In the remaining matches Bangladesh will face Shaanxi Regional Team on April 25 and the 5th and last match against CFA U-14 national team on April 26.
Bangladesh lost their first match of the camp by 0-1 goal to CPA U-14 team on April 22.
Bangladesh will play the final round of the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship along with hosts Thailand, Laos, Korean Republic and Australia alongside the three top finishers of the 2015 AFC U-16 meet — DRP Korea, Japan and China — this year.
