Bangladesh U-23 team started their preparation for Asian Games with a happy note when they edged past visiting Nepal by a solitary goal in the first match of the SS Steel Friendly International Series held on Tuesday at the Army Stadium.
In the day’s match, Rana scored the all-important goal for Bangladesh in the 60th minute of the match.
The two sides will play the second and final match of the series schedule to be held on Friday August (29) at the Sylhet Divisional Stadium.
The practice matches have been arranged for Under-23 team as part of the preparation for the 17th Asian Games to be held in the South Korean city of Incheon on September 19 to October 4.
