Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team on Thursday reached Sri Lanka to play five-match one-day series against Sri Lanka Under-19 Cricket team there.
The ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup is scheduled to held in West Indies in next year. Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team have started their preparation for the upcoming World Cup. Bangladesh played a five-match one-day series against Afghanistan at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium recently. Bangladesh youngsters won the series 3-2. Later, Bangladesh Youth team tasted defeat to Afghanistan in the four-day match at the same venue.
Bangladesh will take on Sri Lanka in the first one-day on October 15, face Sri Lanka in the second one-day on October 18, meet the islanders in the third one-day on October 20, play against the hosts in the fourth one-day on October 23, take on the home side in the fifth one-day on October 25. Bangladesh Youth team will return to Dhaka on October 26.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Wednesday the Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team for the upcoming five-match one-day series against Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh Under-19 squad : SM Meherob Hasan (Captain), MD Mahfijul Islam, Iftakhar Hossain Ifti, Md Prantik Nawrose Nabil, Aich Mollah (Vice-Captain), Abdullah Al Mamun, Gazi Md Tahjibul Islam, Ariful Islam, Maksudur Rahman, Nd Musfik Hasan, and Ripon Mondol.
