After emerging as group champions, the Bangladesh U-15 women’s football team is in good mood as they are busy practicing and attending training sessions ahead of their semi-final clash of the SAFF Under-15 Women’s Championship against Bhutan scheduled to be held on Thursday (August 16).
The girls participated in over half an hour first session recovery gym training at Hotel Ariya International in Thimpu, Bhutan, according to a message received here from Bangladesh Football Federation on Tuesday.
The Bangladesh team had an excellent training and practice at Changlimithan Stadium, Bhutan, the match venue of the tournament, under the supervision of head coach Golam Rabbani Choton and technical and strategical director Paul Thomas Smalley.
Goalkeeper Rupna Chakma said, “I am very happy after winning the match against Nepal. We emerged Group-B champions and qualified for the semi-final …. our next match is against host Bhutan …. I am taking hard preparation for the match and I am ready to give my best effort to win against Bhutan.”
Striker Rehena said, “We have qualified for the semi-final and now we’ll give our hundred percent efforts to win the match against Bhutan to secure the place of final … my dream is to clinch the championship title.”
