Bangladesh U-14 boys had finally something to celebrate as they captured the crown of Plate Group in Super Mokh Cup piping past Shonam Ballmare of Japan by a solitary goal (1-0) in the final held on Sunday at MSN-Field D, Bukit Jalil, Malaysia.
In form Bangladesh skipper Fahim Morshed once again was the savior for his as he struck the cherished winning goal in the coveted final.
Bangladesh regained the Plate title they first lifted in 2014.Last year they finished as runners-up.
It was difficult for Bangladesh as they had to participate in the Plate Group since they failed to reach the Cup Group in which only the top two teams from each group could qualify.
The teams that failed to qualify for the Cup Group took part in the Plate Group of the Super Mokh Cup at Malaysia.
Earlier in the semi-final Bangladesh made into final via Fahim Murshed and Murshed Sela one goal each, defeating Manchester United, England’s Under-14 team.
