Government officials at a press briefing here on Monday said Bangladesh is moving toward a middle income nation by 2021 on its way to become a developed country by 2041 as envisioned by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
They came up with the opinion at the event styled ”District Branding, ‘Kishore Batayn’ and Search for Innovators” organised by District Information Office with assistance of district administration at Raja Ram Mohan Club auditorium in the city.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Rashidul Monnaf Kabir attended the press briefing as the chief guest with Rangpur Regional Director of Bangladesh Betar Sayed Mostafa Kamal in the chair.
Deputy General Manger of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation Khairul Alam Almaze, District Education Officer Roksana Begum Executive Engineer of LGED Akhter Hossain, senior journalist Mamun Islam, addressed, among others.
Moderated by Senior District Information Officer Humayun Kobir, a large number of journalists from the print, electronic and online media participated in the event arranged with assistance of the a2i Programme of the Prime Minister’s Office.
Heads of district level government departments and organisations elaborately discussed about the successes already achieved by their respective depart and organisation in realising the a2i Programme in building digital Bangladesh.
