State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Fazilatunnesa Indira said Bangladesh has been ranked at the top among all South Asian countries for establishing equity-based society management.
“Bangladesh is now a role model across the world in women empowerment, development and for establishing gender equity,” she said.
The state minister said this while speaking at a ‘Rain water harvesting system handed over and operational activities’ ceremony on Tuesday afternoon as the chief guest at Garkhali Pally Mangal Government Primary School ground at no-7 Tildanga union under Dakope upazila of Khulna district, reports BSS.
Terming government is working tirelessly for the well being of women, she said gender equity has now been achieved in primary and secondary education levels, adding: “Women are getting opportunity of economic activities to enhance their skill through training in 35 trades.”
Pregnant women can get economical assistance side by side other facilities in advance basis and creating job opportunity through ‘Tathya Apa’ project.
