The government of Bangladesh will sign a free trade agreement (FTA) with the Czech Republic, aiming to expand the area of trade and business between the two countries.
“Bangladesh products like RMG, leather and ceramic, have a huge demand in the Czech Republic. The government will soon sign an FTA with the Czech Republic to boost bilateral trade,” Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said when Czech Ambassador in Dhaka Miloslav Stasek met him at his office on Monday.
Bangladesh needs to sign the agreement to export products to the Czech Republic, he said, adding that the agreement will be signed soon.
Tofail said Bangladesh has duty- and quota-free access to the markets of many countries, including EU, China, Japan, India, Australia, New Zealand, Norway Sweden and Canada.
