Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) has connected its optical fiber with the counterpart India at Agartala border to export bandwidth, says a press release on Saturday.
The optical fiber installation work started last Friday in presence of BTRC managing Director Golam Fakhruddin.
Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL) will export bandwidth to India after meeting the domestic demand. Initially, the company will export 10-gigabyte bandwidth, which would be expanded up to 40 gigabyte in phases.
