UNB, Dhaka :Bangladesh will remain an active part of “core discussion” on countering terrorism effectively in the 11th ASEM Summit to be held in Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar on Friday-Saturday.Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina leaves for Mongolia this morning and will reach there by a special flight on the same day to attend the Summit which will send out a clear message to the international community that terrorism can never be tolerated. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe will co-chair a special discussion to be presented by other global leaders.”Japanese Prime Minister Abe invited our Prime Minister to co-chair the discussion. Our Prime Minister accepted the invitation,” said Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali on Wednesday. He said Bangladesh will remain part of core discussion on terrorism and how better terrorism and terrorists can be countered.The Prime Minister will also hold a series of important meetings during her three-day visit.She will have meetings, among others, with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, Myanmar President Htin Kyaw, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, European Union President of Council, Indian Vice President M Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister of Netherlands Mark Rutte and Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni Silveri.
