BD teenager shot dead by Indian Khasias

A Bangladeshi teenager has was shot dead by Indian Khasias near the Utma border in Companiganj upazila of Sylhet, while tending his cows in the bordering area, reports our Sylhet Correspondent quoting police.
The deceased has been identified as Zakir Ahmed, 18, and son of one Abul Kalam of the village Lama in Companiganj upazila.
Zakir Ahmed was critically injured when the
Indian Khasias opened fire at him near Utma border area on Friday.
Locals said that Zakir took his cows to graze near the international border. Zakir was sent to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital where he died on Saturday afternoon.
Companiganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) M Tajul Islam said, “I got the news that a person was shot and injured by the Khasias at Utma border.”
The person succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment in the afternoon, he added.
