BD team calls for greater economic cooperation

Speakers at a seminar on political economy of Bangladesh, held in India, on Thursday observed more cooperation in the areas of connectivity, trade, commerce and energy between Dhaka and Delhi will be benefited for people of the entire region.
Centre for South Asian Studies (CSAS) of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) organized the seminar on its campus with JNU Vice-Chancellor Prof Jagadesh Kumar in the chair, according to a press release of Bangladesh High Commission in India, received here.
Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Syed Muazzem Ali, Principal Coordinator (SDG Affairs) at Prime Minister’s Office of Bangladesh Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Chairman of Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) Dr. Qazi Kholiquzzaman, Senior Vice President of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Sheikh Fazle Fahim and JNU Rector Prof. Chintamoni Mahapatra and CSAS Chairman Prof. Sanjay Bhardwaj spoke at the seminar.
Bangladesh High Commissioner said fast-growing India and Bangladesh should combine their synergies in the areas of connectivity, trade, commerce and energy for the mutual benefit for the two neighbours as well as for the region.
