Bangladesh have now 185-run lead in the first innings against Pakistan on day 2 of the first Test at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Saturday.
Electing to bat first, Bangladesh piled up a mammoth total of 330 runs in their first innings on the second day.
In reply, Pakistan scored 145 for the loss of none before the bails were drawn for the second day.
Bangladesh resumed their first innings with the over-night score of 253 for the loss of four wickets.
Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das resumed their first innings with their over-night score of 82 and 113 runs respectively.
But Liton Das could stay at the crease for a short period as he was trapped leg before wicket by Hasan Ali after adding one run in his account when Bangladesh’s total was 255 for the loss of five wickets.
After Liton’s dismissal, debutante Yasir Ali (4) was bowled out by Hasan Ali when the hosts’ score was 267 for the loss of six wickets.
Mushfiqur Rahim was a victim of nervous nineties. He (91) was caught behind by wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan off Faheem Ashraf when Bangladesh’s total was 276 for the loss of seven wickets.
After Mushfiqur’s departure, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Taijul Islam added 28 runs for the eighth wicket partnership before Taijul Islam (11) was caught at the first slip by Abdullah Shafique off Shaheen Shah Afridi when home side’s score was 304 for the loss of eight wickets.
Number-10 batsman Abu Jayed (8) was caught at the slip by Abdullah Shafique off Hasan Ali when Bangladesh’s total was 330 for the loss of nine wickets.
Then, Ebadot Hossain (0) was bowled out by Hasan Ali when Bangladesh’s innings came to an end.
Miraz remained unbeaten with 38 runs. He hit six fours in his 68-ball innings.
Hasan Ali grabbed five wickets at the cost of 51 runs, while Faheem Ashraf and Shaheen Shah Afridi bagged two wickets each for 54 and 70 runs respectively.
Later, opener Abid Ali remained unbeaten with 93 runs, while Abdullah Shafique, the other opener remained unbeaten with 52 runs.
